Who is responsible for your information?
Aurevon Group Ltd operates UK Passport Validity Checker and is the controller of personal information collected through our contact form. Our company number is 17053246 and our ICO registration is ZC266096.
Passport checks stay in your browser
The passport checker calculates results on your device. We do not submit the traveller names, passport issue or expiry dates, or travel dates entered in the checker to our contact-message database. You do not need to provide a passport number or upload a passport to use the checker.
Information you send through the contact form
If you contact us, we collect and store your name, email address, message and submission date. We use this information to respond to enquiries, investigate reported errors and manage correspondence. Please do not include passport numbers, passport scans, payment details or other sensitive information in your message.
Our legal basis
We rely on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and maintaining an accurate, secure website, balanced against your privacy rights. Where we must retain information to meet a legal obligation, that obligation is our legal basis.
Service providers and technical information
Our hosting and contact-message service providers process information needed to operate and secure the website on our behalf. Website requests may generate technical records such as IP addresses, browser details and error information. We do not sell contact-form information. Where a provider processes personal information outside the UK, applicable data-protection safeguards are required.
Cookies and affiliate links
The passport checker does not need advertising cookies to calculate a result. Website infrastructure may use technical cookies or browser storage needed to operate the service. Our NordVPN and NordPass links are affiliate links. If you follow one, the destination website or affiliate network may use cookies or similar technology to attribute a purchase and will handle your information under its own privacy policy. You do not need to use these links to use our checker.
How long information is kept
Contact messages should be kept only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any related follow-up, dispute or legal requirement. You can ask us to delete your message using the contact form. Deletion requests are subject to any lawful reason we have to retain information.
Your rights
Under UK data-protection law, you may request access to or correction of your information, request erasure or restriction, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Data portability applies in certain circumstances. These rights are not absolute. We may need to verify your identity before responding and normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions.
To make a request, use our contact form and identify it as a privacy request. Do not send a passport scan. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website or our information-handling practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
